Crop outside the image size

For an image size 1600 x 900, you could configure a crop with a 16:9 ratio.

If the uploaded image is 900 x 900, you may want it centered, with a black letterbox.

However, the cop widget won't allow you to select beyond the image size, to define the letterbox area.

A partial workaround is to use the Image Effects module.
